Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, Alex moved to Atlanta at a young age. He graduated from Georgia State University where he studied journalism/PR.
He later founded over a dozen companies in various industries: IT, travel, entertainment, HoReCa, publishing.
He began working in the Document Preparation industry in 1998. He founded Passport Visa Express in 2002 — currently one of the largest passport-visa expeditors. In 2021 he founded Imigrata, an immigration tech startup.
Most of Alex's other projects were pioneers in their fields: the first bar/restaurant employing all identical-twin staff, the first major GLBTQ social dating network for CIS countries, the first Jewish & Masonic cocktail bar, the first Russian transit hotel, and many other firsts.
Alex believes in a socially responsible business model. Travel Visa Express location in Atlanta is currently a humanitarian aid collection site for the AtlantaForUkraine, a non-profit organization he founded. At the beginning of COVID pandemic, his restaurants provided thousands of free meals for stranded immigrants at international airports.
