U.S. citizens do not require a Tourist or Business Visa to enter United Arab Emirates. However, a U.S. passport is required:

Your U.S. passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date you plan to depart United Arab Emirates.

Your passport must have adequate unused visa pages to allow for entry and exit stamps upon arrival and departure from United Arab Emirates. Please note that Amendment pages in the back of your passport are not to be used for entry and exit stamps or visa issuance.

Do I need PCR-test if I am vaccinated?
Answer:
Vaccinated travelers entering the UAE at airports and land borders do not require a PCR test IF they present an approved COVID-19 vaccination certificate containing a QR code. Unvaccinated travelers entering the UAE at airports and land borders must present an approved negative PCR test result received within 48 hours, or a QR code-accompanied certificate of recovery from a COVID-19 infection obtained within one month from the date of travel..

My test result is positive – what happens now?
Answer:
You should not go to the airport as you may be stopped from checking-in or boarding the aircraft by your airline. You may also have primary close contacts in your travelling group. These people should not travel as you may have passed the infection on to them. A primary close contact is anyone who has had unprotected exposure to a confirmed case. You and your primary close contacts should immediately isolate and seek advice from your local health authority.

I or someone I am traveling with is not eligible for vaccination or cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. What should we do?
Answer:
People who cannot be vaccinated need to have a medical certificate which indicates that they have a medical contraindication to COVID-19 vaccines, that is, they cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.
